When making a commitment in marriage, or starting on the responsibility and wonder of parenthood, many people choose to mark these very important and special events in their lives in the sight of God and at the heart of their community.
WeddingsToday more than a quarter of all marriages in England take place before God in the traditional setting of a Church of England church. You're welcome to marry in church whatever your beliefs, whether or not you are baptised and whether or not you go to church.

A big thank you to everyone who has shared their wedding photos. It's wonderful to see so many happy days, from 1946 to 2017. If you would like to help someone see what their special day might look like, or just help to fill out the picture that this little archive is becoming, please share photos of your wedding or baptism ceremony at Colerne Parish Church. You can email them to [email protected]. Amateur photos only please.
